The new emergency restrictions for Covid-19 which the following issues will be heard for District Court or Circuit Court judge is required review the petition and evaluate the petition at issue (a) can be resolved without a hearing, (b) can be scheduled after the Court’s Covid-19 emergency restrictions is terminated, (c) can be heard with certain types of electronic participation, or (d) can be heard in person. There restricted matters are as follows: (1) emergency guardianship issues, (2) unique shelter care matters, (3) appeals from peace orders, (4) domestic violence protective orders, (5) all temporary restraining orders, (6) family law emergency matters, (7) motions that involve domestic violence protective orders, (8) motions that involve extreme-risk protective orders, (9) contempt hearings involving peace or protective orders, and (10) motions that involve peace orders.
